This is a .223 Rem M700 bolt with firing pin group pulled out’…, you can see the pieces of primers in the upper corner. I used a dental pick to remove the impacted brass primer pieces.

Here’s the firing pin front view with primer pieces’…, each piece (5) represents a misfire on the line.
I’m sure the five “misfires” and the five pieces of primer metal are a coincident’…but I did misfire five rounds after the last primer was pieced. I have since cleaned everything up and I’m back in business.

This view into the bolt body clearly shows the brass on the shoulder that set the distance of the firing pin strike.

Left to right are my unfired and fired cartridges, #1 one loaded Win brass, WSR primer, 24.5grs N150, 80grs Sierra Mk at 2925 fps. This is not noted for being a hot round in my rifle. I’ve used other Win primers and never had a problem I believe it was inherit in the case of primers I bought.
#2 showing crater just at the point of almost piercing the primer
#3 shows complete failure of the primer cup and piercing the primer
