ARMS #18 rail for M1A/M14 I've replaced the machine screw in the front with a allen axial hexagonal socket and a little blue lock tight. Other wise you have the machine screw biting into rifle hand guard.

First problem the scope mount can't ride all the way to the rear of the mounting rail; the scope mount contacts the striper slot which keep the scope mount from locking down. This is a big problem because you need the scope all the way back.

Here's you can see the spot it makes contact at

By moving the scope forward two pic slots you can mount the scope. However for me it takes it is out side of a comfortable eye relief

Again you can see the problem spot if the scope brought back

One more, I do like the power and reticle in mine which is an illuminated Duplex.

Second problem... there is no co-witnessing with iron on a M1A and this scope... It could be used with NVG.. perhaps?

Right side. You real due need that extra space on the #18 rail for the eye relief... later I may bring it back to the M1A with a little shorter stock, this Springfield has the factory rubber recoil pad on, and I just don't have enough neck. I still think it would be great on the M1A, possible another mount and throw lever rings, we'll see.
