Overall shot of the back deck, morning sun.
I have tomatoes growing! Not as many as I would have thought; perhaps it's normal for some of the blossoms to not develop. But just in case, I added flower boxes to the back deck railing, to attract more bees and butterflies, to do their pollination thing.
This is Chef Jeff's Better Bush.
Two tomatoes! (I have 3 vines in all, different varieties.) This is Chef Jeff's Patio tomato.
Chef Jeff's Sungold Yellow Cherry tomatoes. Can't wait for these to ripen. Yum!
Petunias, salvia, and sweet potato vine, (Ipomoea). I have varying colors.
Ah, I do have a pepper starting to grow! God knows if it'll get to any size, though . . . this pot doesn't get as much sun as the tomato pot does. I think this is supposed to be a banana pepper. Good luck.
Another railing box.
Close-up of some pepper flowers. Dunno if they will develop.
Perspective shot, down the railing.
I added some garden flag holders and flags today. I need two more holders; I have 2 more flags.
Close-up.
Perspective shot. That stack of old chairs on the deck to the left is GOING, next bulk pick-up day.
From on the deck. Hubby is busy googling restaurants in Chicago.)
Next project: adding the two additional holders, and stringing colored deck lights. Arriba! Arriba!
