These cows and calves came out most every evening and quite a few people came to see the almost daily event. My wifes brother lived there at that time and we went out to see the show one evening just before sundown. It was a treat but one thing I forgot to ask is the question. Does the rut happen in the fall right here too? I need to find out if it does and if it does it is tempting to make a run up there to see that show too. I just finished editing the RAWS this evening. 02-13-2014.

1 IMG 2387 T1i I will have explainations for these photo's in the future. This is a brand new album.
2 IMG 2391 T1i These elk look do not have the harsh winters to contend with like the ones in Colorado and Montana do. They do not seem to look as physically strong and cold weather elk do.

6 IMG 2401 T1i Their food probably comes easier than the cold weather elk does. They have a wider range of food to eat and do not have to migrate much in order to get enough eat.
