Arches Natl Pk + 03/2006 to 05/2009
All these photo's were taken in Utah. Prints of these photo's are for sale in lots of sizes. E me at ronc45@gmail.com
This is Arches National Park starting at the entrance near Moab, Utah going into and coming back out the same road. There is one paved road in and out. Photo  #1 is a pdf map of Arches National Park. You can print it out too. Viki and I revisited Arches April 12th (2009) The photos are posted plus plus sites along the road to Moab on highway 128 to the Castle Valley area then onto Dead Horse Point state Park in Utah is also included. They start at photo 79 and go to the end of the album at #254. I will edit a few so there isn't to much repeat and the flow will be better.

Enlarge photo 210
210
IMG 3314
Dead Horse Point State Park.. here is the legend:The name of the park comes from the legend that cowboys once chased wild horses onto the peninsula and fenced off the narrow 30 yard neck to create a large corral. They selected the best of the herd for use and left the rest. Horses left in the corral when the cowboys left were unable to find their way out and died en masse, leaving just their bleached bones as a reminder.

Enlarge photo 211
211
IMG 3315
It is hard to explain but just enjoy what you see.....No one knows for sure if the cowboys left the horses on purpose to die or not...
