D200EOS5D 300% 01
At 300% the difference in optical resolution between Nikon D200 and EOS 5D is visible. The paragraph under "november" in the Rammstein World Tour poster is no longer intelligible in the D200 (left)The comparison image was put together by screenshooting 2 small sections in Photoshop, of the following two images. (Poster-column)

D200EOS5D 100%
Note the difference in DOF and perspective. The two images are shot from the same distance within seconds. The Micro-Nikkor 60/2.8 because of the smaller sensor, crop factor 1,5 (APS) in D200 has the exact same angle of view as the Summicron 90/2.0 on an EOS 5D (full frame - no crop factor), but because of the shorter focal lenght, the depth of field is larger in the 60 mm. The EOS/Leica image appears larger in the cutout, because of the difference in digital resolution. The 25 year old Leica lens fitted on Canon with a Novoflex LER-adapter gets the better of the Nikon gear, because of higher digital resolution (12 MP vs 10 MP) In my opinion the old Canadian lens also has higher optical resolution and better colour reproduction. Both images processed with Adobe Photoshop CS2
