| All photo's in this album were taken of Elk during the rut seasons at Slippery Anne wildlife refuge located on the Missouri River 70 miles north east of Lewistown, Montana from the years 2000 to 2006. I am in the process of editing some of the photos and will put the replacements in as time goes by. I have replaced quite a few already. The photo's with copyright notice are the old ones and they are towards the end of the album. The new PhotoshopCC program helps editing the older photo's so this is an upgrade for the older photos. Most of the older photos taken in 2000 - 2003 are not edited yet. I have edited one and it looks much better than the originals. |

These elk seem to be slim and trim compared to the elk in Washington. Probably because they migrate to different areas to get their food so stay in shape easier when they have to travel about 100 miles between winter and summer grazing areas.
