enlarge 322KB, 1024x768 Black Frame, ISO800, 30sec, with noise reduction Unlike the D7 (see other album), the noise is uniformly distributed across the entire image, rather than showing two bright zones.
enlarge 427KB, 1024x768 Black Frame, ISO800, 30sec, no noise-red, cam warm from use This is the worst the noise gets.
enlarge 86KB, 1024x768 Wide-Angle Example 28mm, P mode, ISO 100, Contrast -1, Sharpness Soft, X-Fine JPEG, all else default
Note: this was shot through a somewhat dirty window.
enlarge 64KB, 768x1024 Full-zoom Example 200mm, P mode, ISO 100, Contrast -1, Sharpness Soft, X-Fine JPEG, all else default
This picture has been losslessly rotated with IrfanView and thus no longer contains the 640x480 thumbnail that Minolta places at the very end of the file (using a corrupted JPG SOI marker, but that's a separate issue).
enlarge 136KB, 1024x768 Anti-Shake Example Full zoom (200mm), 1/8 second, handheld.
Notice how blurred the people walking across the bottom of the frame are!
For another (admittedly uncharacteristically good) example of Anti-Shake, see here.
