Northern Lights
First stop at Valahalla. No aurora, a bit bright, but still got some decent shots of the stars. Later the lights put on a good show so we stopped in the road near Þingvellir. The clouds seem to add to the images.

M31 is just about visible. Obviously a longer exposure than 22s is needed to get that and the Milky Way

The following were all taken from Þingvellir National Park on Dec 26th. The contrast has been stretched for the landscape on some images.

According to the guide the aurora was showing red and orange at this time. Or it could just have been street lights on the ever-increasing cloud.
