A walk with the camera in Kings Park on a chilly June morning brings an album of West Australian Wildflowers from Roe Gardens, images of Perth and the Swan River from the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, also the activity of Birdlife in the Trees.

This giant Boab Tree, estimated to be 750 years old, weighs 36 tonnes and stretched 14 metres high and 8 metres wide (branch span). The trunk measures 2.5 metres in diameter.

Built 1879 and operated as a brewery until relocating to a large, fully-automated factory at Canning Vale in the late 1970's.

Currently the renovated building of the Old Swan Brewery contains a cafe/restaurant and function centre which re-opened in 2001. It also contains a microbrewery which produces malt ales and lagers. Historic photographs and artefacts are displayed.
