1 Introducing beautiful, happy, friendly, and personable Rosé.
2 She doesn't look or act it, but she is 9-11 years old.
3 Rosé used to be quite the full figured gal. Old vet records showed that a year ago she was an obese 26 lbs., but by the time she got to her foster home in mid March (pictured), she was down to 20 lbs. She has continued to slowly and healthily slim down, currently weighing 18 lbs. and looking and feeling great!
4 It's obvious that her previous owners showed her love by doling out the treats quite generously.
5 But she thrives even more on simple attention and affection.
6 Resé came to rescue with her sister, and the two get along very well. She also quickly adapted to the other dogs in the home and gets along congenially with them.
7 While she does fine with the other dogs, she actually doesn't interact with them directly very much.
8 Nor does she complain when Meta claims the throne of both dog beds and the blanket!
9 At Rat Terrier Jamboree in mid April, she got along great with the approximate 100 humans and 120 other dogs. She even ran a heat in the terrier races, inspired by the promise of a Cheetoh at the end!
10 Rosé's preferred buddy has a lap that is willingly shared.

12 Such a lover!
13 When there are no open laps available, she does not become pesty. She just finds a comfy spot to nap and wait for the next opportunity.
14 Rosé's house manners have been excellent. She has never gotten into any mischief whatsoever, even when left alone with the run of the house.
15 She knows how to sit for a treat or her meals, but isn't a fan of doing so. She would rather jump up and down like a pogo stick a couple of times to make sure you understand her eagerness.
16 She does bark pretty explosively when the doorbell rings and will initially bark at strangers to the home until she has determined that they're welcomed guests, not intruders.
17 Within just 5 minutes of meeting Scott, she decided he was A-OK!
18 Rosé is house trained and has learned how to use a doggie door. She loves going outside and running around the yard searching for critters or other interesting smells.
19 She is eager to go for walks and does well on leash. She can easily handle a hike of a couple of miles.
20 At the beginning of a walk, she will tend to pull a bit in her excitement.
21 But within a block or two she is content to go with the pace of the pack.
22 She does like to stop frequently to investigate all the interesting smells so she definitely prefers a hike in the woods or at least along a sidewalk. But a walk in the neighborhood street is better than no walk at all!
23 At night she would definitely prefer to sleep in bed with her person or people, but if that isn't permitted, she will sleep quietly and peacefully on her dog bed or in a crate. She rides well in a crate in the car.

26 Flirting her way up onto my lap.
27 A treat will always get her attention!
28 She is attentive and gentle and very affectionate.
