Jilz is a sweet, playful girl who came to rescue with her four 4-month old puppies plus pins in her legs from a healed injury and heartworm disease. As if that weren't enough, she was discovered to be pregnant again, this time with ELEVEN pups! After weaning them Jilz was able to be spayed and get the pins removed, and will start heartworm treatment at the end of October.

1 Hi, I'm Jilz.
2 I'm a purebred tri-color Rat Terrier (white with chocolate and apricot).
3 As you can imagine, I put on some weight after birthing so many babies, but I've been slowly slimming down. As of Nov 8 I weigh 28 lbs. and think I'll look stunning when I've made it down to about 26 lbs.
4 My birthday is January 3, 2020, so I'm not quite 4 years old.
5 I LOOOOOVE people and want them to love me, too.
6 "Hey, are you ready for a little snuggle time?"
7 Even on Day 1 in my new foster home I knew that my foster mom and dad were safe people, and I trusted them immediately.
8 Well, to be honest, anyone who has a hand that they're willing to use to pat me is A-OK in my book!
9 I'd rather be getting pats than anything else in the world...
10 ...except maybe hunting for squirrels or chipmunks...
11 ... or treat handouts! I do LOVE treats.
12 I will sit on command for treats.
13 I have also learned to WAIT on command for treats. (It's really hard but I'm determined to get it right!)
14 Another skill I have is using the doggie door and being PERFECT in my housetraining.
