I have been reliably informed that after years of calling these birds Seagulls. There is no such thing as a Seagull. You have Black Headed Gulls, Common Gulls, Great Black Backed Gulls, Lesser Black Backed Gulls, Med Gulls, and loads of other gulls. They change a lot from summer to winter and then the juveniles to first year gulls can also change a lot. iding them is pretty hard for the newcomer.
