French WW1 1890/92/16 Berthier (8x50r)
Available for sale 1916 avaiable (2) 1890 & 1892 are gone                     Here are 3 models of WW1 era Berthier carbines, an 1890 cavalry, 1892 mosquetoon, & 1916 mosquetoon. All 3 are matching,in original configuration (including sling attachment locations) & cleaning rods, none have any of the myriad of mods done to these carbines over the years.

top: Mle1890 cavalry carbine, all matching, original cleaning rod, note length of stock forend almost to the muzzle, (this model did not take a bayonet as the cavalry of the period were issued sabres) & the sling attachments which are the correct original locations for this gun.
Middle: Mle1892 Mosquetoon, all matching, original configuration w/cleaning rod, note shorter forend & front band to take the Mle1892 bayonet.
Bottom: Mle1916 Mosquetoon, all mattching, original configuration w/cleaning rod, the changes to the 1916 were the addition of a handguard & the extended 5 shot mag capacity over the 3rds of the Mle1890 & 1892

this is a different carbine than the 1916 in the pics of 3 above, this is a typical french period repair, also note markings location, usually hidden by the handguard (not present in this case)
