saved one little strawberry plant from big garden several years ago, and planted it in my flower garden--here is one of the first little berries on it this year!

i drove down, and then back up through the water--thankfully it wasn't deep!

this one was just scarey!!
all that water is NOT supposed to be there!!
this is a paved road!
there are 4 foot deep, 6 foot wide drainage ditches just past the brick mailbox, on both sides of the road--but they were full, and flowing like a stream!

this is what the road did when it was flooded--the water had filled the side drainage ditches, and overflowed the paved section on may 2, 2009---that's a LOT of water!

someone stuck a branch in the hole that was left after the flood waters went down--the pavement just fell off in a big chunk!
