Very common area that often needs to be replaced. In this case I had a compleat step and rocker that came from another truck; cut and welded into place. This is in my 62D and the step and rocker came from a 70 and matched up nice! Old step and rocker are above on the cab floor.

May not look that bad but along the kick panel side the weld is gone and leaking. The drain also leaked into the cab. I will be cutting this area out and installing new metal.

This one is a lot worse than the pass side, I will also have to install some new metal in the kick panel as well as the lower part of the cowl drain and vent area to help seal everthing up.

with the vent area removed you can see that even the kick panel has some miner damage and will need some repair

I will be cutting the metal around the vent away and making a new piece

After some welding and grinding looks pretty good. I have never claimed to be a great welder, so more grinding than what I would of liked to have done.... Inside will get treated with Por15 since I had to wait till after welding was done...

the kickpanel is in much poorer shape and I will have to cut some out and replace it with new metal, around the drain hole also....

Will cut and trim around the vent and replace all metal and weld it in place.

I cut out most of the old metel and replaced much of the kick panel and reframed the drain hole

The area around the floor were the cab front mount is will have to be repaired, here is what it looked like when frist cut out.

here it is a little cleaned up, not sure at this point just how far I will take this repair......maybe all the way over to kick panel.... mount under the cab is in pretty good shape so will leave it alone, however there is some metal near the kick panel that will be rewelded under the cab.
