Inside of right kick panel showing linkage needed to transfer round-and-round of motor to push-pull for Morse cable, ala shifters on boats.
System should last several million strokes.
| Cab side of kick panel, showing motor.
| Original header interior look. Swithc is in place of one of the O.E. vacuum system knobs.
| All this stuff goes into the header. Barely, but it does fit and function.
|
Close up of Hein-type ball joints used throughout.
And the shafts, which are standard big truck/bus/marine/R.V. parts. Shafts are much heavier duty than the vacuum motor shafts, but do require bigger holes in roof panel.
| Outside view, looks pretty stock, eh?
Also shows the inner side of cover plate with switch mounted.
Shafts, wipers and arms are short, heavy truck items. Motor too.
| Inside of header, if it shows in a bigger pic?
| Morse type cable routed up the A-pillar. I did have to drill a hole from under the dash upwards. Usual wire routing is between a couple inner layers inside the pillar, a hole made installation simpler.
