Enlarge photo 8 My gear box, showing how I used a bunch of fittings to stretch the pressure line. I did grind away several of the protrusions on the box to enable a tighter fit. Careful, they do have fluid passages drilled inside.
Enlarge photo 9 Frame mod, done by heating red with an acetylene torch and bending with an antique monkey wrench.
Enlarge photo 10 Modification to frame rail to suit the Saginaw box. I feel any loss of temper (if there is any from the factory) to the frame rail is better than the notching that others do. The notching would cause a 'strss riser', all the flex would happen in the same place leading to fatigue.
Enlarge photo 11 Fabricated bracket to suit the Saginaw reverse rotation box. I used umm 3x5x 3/8" angle iron. One nut shown, weld four on as spagcers. Angle of cut is to suit, figure it out by sticking box into location, shaft through hole in frame, measure angle while holding box up with one hand. I recall 43°? Drill the bolt holes after fabrication, and bending lip of frame. Hole saw big hole, enlarge hole in frame also, to suit nose of box.

Enlarge photo 13 Later iteration, belt is tensioned with a pivoting tensioner. I'm running a multi-vee serpentine system on my own truck, but I don't like the way I did the crank and water pump pulleys. I think billets are in order.

Enlarge photo 15 Similar bracket, this one an integrated GM alt plus a Sanden air conditioning compressor.

Enlarge photo 17 Tensioner type PS mount, two piece bracket. Easier to service water pump this way.
Enlarge photo 18 GM alt, Sanded AC pump. Pump was from a Saab, it has big pulley for fat belt.
