Jimmy (Michigan)Jimmy is a six month old rat terrier large breed mix. He is extremely affectionate and sweet and playful. Jimmy is potty trained as long as you take him out fairly regularly. He sleeps in his kennel at night and those basic commands likes it and stay although the stay is a work in progress. Like all young puppies he can be mouthy and likes to chew on toys in toy bones. He is learning to behave like all puppies learn when you teach them. He is an extremely sweet dog and would be an excellent addition to most families that have the time to give him attention. |

Jax (Pullman, WA)Jax was originally rescued from a Los Angeles shelter in 2015 by a rescue group and then adopted by his previous family where he stayed for six years. When they had a baby, his parents were conflicted about how to keep Jax in their home due to his anxiety and unpredictable behavior around children. Reluctantly, they decided to surrender Jax to New Rattitude and drove all the way from California to Washington to transfer him into a New Rattitude foster home.
Jax, who is about 7 years old, is an active boy who loves all kinds of active play and activity (jogging, playing ball, running with stuffed toys, and taking long walks). He h as s a bit of anxiety and can nip when he's scared but is a sweet boy when he around people henl trusts (even though he isn't a cuddler a fan of being picked up or held).
In his foster home, Jax has adjusted quickly and follows the lead of his canine foster siblings. He doesn't directly interact with any of them but proceeds throughout the day based on what they are doing. He has shown protective behavior of his food and sleeping area. He would be good in a home with another dog who is detached and independent or will at least mind his space. He might also be good in a single dog home but may take longer to settle in. He hasn't been around cats but would probably be incompatible with them (or any small animals because of his prey drive). He would definitely not be good in a home where he would be around small children.
