Mango
The first days after Mango came home.  Mango was almost starved to death due to neglect.  Her little friend Tango was not so lucky. Hours before they were rescued, Tango crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Necropsy results stating death by starvation.

Offers of help fell on deaf ears months before Tango's death.  We suspect that Mango's missing feathers were eaten by a starving and suffering Tango.  The day Tango died, the one who was supposed to forever keep her safe was partying at a friend of a friend's wedding and reception.  She flew out to California and left them in the care of her estranged husband.  Although not held accountable for the pain and agony of starvation, cosmic justice will prevail.

To all who visit this album, please remember that no matter what life deals us, we are forever responsible for the companions we willingly bring into our hearts and homes.

Thank you for saving Mango's life and trying to save Tango's. There's so much I'd like to say about that 'person' who was supposed to be taking care of them but I suppose this is a 'G' rated site. I've been blessed with a healthy CAG that I got as a baby, I love her more than I could ever express. Since I've been so lucky, I hope some day I can repay {mother nature?} and take in a bird in need of a home. You have beautiful fids, you're a beautiful person, and I hope you have a beautiful life. You deserve it.

sometimes it's a shame you can't do to the owner what has been done to the pet!

OMG,
I am so saddened and sickened by these photos. HOW did you learn of this abuse/neglect?
God bless you for taking Mango. Poor Tango. I have 2 rehomed parrots, but their condition was never even close to this nightmare.

Thanks for helping!  I can't *believe* anyone would let their birds get to this state of neglect! Can't *imagine* my black-headed being denied his hugely varied diet...it doesn't even look like the same species when they get so skinny!
