Stone Island is no longer an Island. Sometime in the distance past it was joined with the mainland. It is now a very long stretch of beach (9 miles). Along the northern end are about a dozen palapa resturants. It is located south of Mazatlan. You get there by either a very long drive or a bus ride to old town and a panga taxi ride across the old harbor. We chose the later.
