We arrived at Mesa Verde National Park Camping area after passing through Cortez Co. and partly through the Mancos Valley. Then we had to climb up a twisting switch back road gaining 1700 feet in altitude to reach the campground head quarters. Then we had to climb another 300 feet to 8200 feet at our camp site. You have never breathed in air so fresh or tried to walk or work at this altitude, wow! The wild life pretty much ignored us. The stars were fantastic too!
