Making old phonograph players into amplifiers got me trying to make a portable blue tooth player. The record players were too small for good stereo separation, so I bought an old portable stereo on eBay, which I'm trying to adapt to better quality sound.

5. Jammin'OnTheMountain'19 (Mountain Jam)

Every year in June, a music festival known as Mountain Jam comes to New York. In previous years it was held at the Hunter Mountain ski resort. This year it took residence at Bethel Woods, the site of the iconic 1969 Woodstock Music & Arts Exposition.

12. Oct 7th 2018 Sea Cliff, Mini Mart (Sunday Oct. 7th 2018)

This is an annual event started in the 1970s, several of the streets of this quaint village are shut down and given to vendors, artisans, craftspeople to sell and display their wares. It now draws people from all over the tri-state area.

My father served in The Korean war, his father and grandfather were also in the armed forces. He has a couple of bayonets that I am unsure of where they came from. I'm hoping somebody who knows about arms can point me in the right direction. Are they U.S ordnance, or captured souvenirs?

A watering can used to be a staple of just about every household in suburbia. Now they're not so common. I found an old one in our garage and it had a leak on the bottom. Rather than repairing it, I decided to paint it qand use it as a planter.

In the process of cleaning out our house, I came across and old shipping crate that had a hinged lid and some old writing on the sides. It has a kind of funky retro look to it, so I will try and neaten it up a bit and see if it can be sold.

21. Looking Back (Replacing my father's handiwor)

My father had the mirror knocked off his 1992 Toyota Corolla. In order to pass inspection, he needed it. So he jammed a piece of wood inside and screwed it back in place. This allowed him to pass inspection, but it couldn't be adjusted to view at the proper angle. I ordered a new one and replaced his improvised repair.

The GoodGuys car show is a big one. For years it was held at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY. A few years ago they moved it to Springfield Massachusetts. Now it's back so I headed up there. I think I canb do some pretty clever and innovative things to modify cars. I've had an S10 pickup which I had hopes of doing a complete custom on. The problem is that I live with my Dad, who is a compulsive hoarder. He is incapable of throwing anything away, leaving virtually no room for me to build custom speaker cabinets, center consoles, seat frames and anything else I want to do. He says that I'm being a baby, and that I'll find a way to do the things I want. I just need to find the place to do it. I get a thrill seeing what other people have done to their rides to make them stand apart from the crowd. Since I'm not getting any younger, I have doubts that I'll ever be able to complete a build, simply because I lack the place to do it.

I missed a bunch of car shows last summer, so this year I'm going to try and reverse that trend. I was eating at my favorite Ihop on Saturday evening, when the waiter spotted me reading Street Rodder magazine. He told me that New York Institute Of Technology was having a car show, that I might be interested in. Naturally I was, NYIT is my alma mater, and it's close to home, two good reasons for me to attend.

A friend at work is into scuba diving and does a lot of traveling. He had a wooden divider made to keep his stuff seperated in the bed of his truck. I offered to pinstripe it for him. He puts stickers from the places he's been on it. I am no pinstriper, but you have to start somewhere...

60. August Belmont Park Car Show & Swap Meet (August 21, 2010)

This is a small show even by Long Island standards. There are "Cruise Nights" that generate more activity here on the east coast. There was one in June which wasn't bad, so I went again on August 21st. I kinda wish I'd posted the pix I took in JUne. There was another show at The Cradle Of Aviation Museum, and most of the really tricked-out cars were there, tomorrow the turn-out will be better, but I won't be there to shoot it. So it goes...

62. August 2010 Carlisle Truck Show (August 8, 2010)

Carlisle Pennsylvania is famous for it's car shows. I used to own several Opel GTs and I had to get parts from a place in California. They used to haul stuff across the country to vend at the Carlisle Sports Car show. Although I'd never been there, I'd read about it in reputable magazines, Like Hemmings Motor News, and Sports Car Graphic, so I decided that I should attend the Truckin' Nationals. This was a good decision on my part...

A couple of years ago I had a my bathroom redone. Unfortunately the painters never heard of masking tape, screwdrivers, drop cloths or rags to wipe up spills. I had intended to redo the bathroom when I had some spare cash. That time never arrived, now that I've run out ofmoney and can no longer afford to live here, I'll leave the landlords with a gift by painting the bathroom myself.

74. What's up door? (February 21, 2008)

A couple of summers ago, my landlord informed me that he wanted to redo my bathroom and it would take several days. I told him that I could not be without the use of a toilet for several days, and the only time the work could be done was when the Racing Season was in Saratoga. When I returned, the bathroom was completed, but the painters did a hatchet job. I decided to try and hide some of their blunders by painting over the drips and smears. This is my first attempt at creating a faux window.
