1 The first car in the entrance is a nice one. Although I didn't take time to see if it was a repro body or an original, a big blower is enough to make me forget about minor details like that.
| 2 For a hot rod, as much as fiberglass has it's advantages, I don't think it takes as much effort to customize a brand new, out-of-the-box shell as it does to revive a real FoMoCo classic.
| 3 Another nice entry, again I didn't stop to check the originality of the body. Beat me with a tire iron!
| 4 A big block Mustang is also an attention-getter.
|
5 It's nice to see the 'Stangs before they were uglified.
| 6 A first generation pony car is also a treat for the eyes.
| 7 This "rat rod" cruised by and all I got was a passing shot of it. The batteries in my camera were dying so I didn't get time to see where it went to get another shot.
| 8 I'm not a huge fan of FoMoCo products, but a nice car is a nice car, despite which company designed it. I'm a baby boomer, so anything from the sixties gets point from me!
|
9 A peek under the hood of another nice FoMoCo. From the front it looks a bit like a Nova from the same era, but it's a Comet.
| 10 make that a Fairlane, this was a real cherry.
| 11 Here's a bullet nosed Ford. There were lots of Camaros and Chevelles from the "Muscle Car" era, but aside from some chrome dress-up goodies, there was nothing spectacular about them, so I didn't shoot any pix.
| 12 A nice clean engine bay on the copper Ford.
|
 13 Cheese it, the cops!
| 14 The first new car my family got in my life was a '68 Dodge Coronet. It was a four door with a slant six, so this is what I would have chosen!
| 15 A 440 will get your attention!
| 16 A nice old Chev.
|
17 It's funny how much easier it is to reach vital parts, like plugs and distributor caps on older cars.
| 18 A nice interior. I'm no fan of bench seats, despite their make-out potential.
| 19 This'll grab your attention.
| 20 See, I do take shots of Chevys. There were at least six new Camaros at the show and they looked as if they were driven off the dealer lot, straight to the show. What's so special about that?
|
21 More late fifties/early sixties horsepower.
| 22 Another Maroon Mopar, this is a real Honey!
| 23 Ya gotta love a Hemi!
| 24 High-back buckets, another plus in my book!
