1 This will be my second Mountain Jam. I bought the General Admission ticket. This is my pass, which allows you to enter and exit the venue. The last time I went was in 2016. It is held at Hunter Mountain ski resort in upstate New York. This year it has moved to Bethel Woods, the site of the original 1969 Woodstock Music & Arts Exposition.
| 2 Here's the entrance for the day parkers. The sign commemorates the history that took place here fifty years ago.
| 3 Hopefully the writing will be legible so you can enjoy this marker the way I did.
| 4 This is a special site where a plaque describes the event. It was the final day when I saw this. There was a man there describing all the history, he worked on the stage fifty years ago.
|
5 A close up, much easier to read.
| 6 I had gotten to the site too early to be admitted, so in an effort to kill time, I visited all the historical markers. This is a list of half the performers.
| 7 ...and this is the other half.
| 8 And a salute to the sculptor.
|
9 Here's a medium shot of the plaque.
| 10 A flag pole seems fitting at this spot.
| 11 The camera didn't capture the variations in the terrain here, but the lower left side was where the stage was.
| 12 The hillside was bowl shaped, this is the museum, but originally the hill went higher and it was flattened out to build the pavilion.
|
13 This is the trail down from the GA camping, to the music stages, museum and concessions
| 14 This is the sign identifying The Mountain Stage. This is where all the big names will appear. It's the largest venue on the mountain.
| 15 This is The Mountain Stage, the largest of the three. It's also the only one under a roof.
| 16 Here's a view of the GA camping.
|
17 This is just one of the many trails inside the park.
| 18 These are some of the concessions that fill the arena. There are food and souvenir stands that have all sorts of cool wares to be had.
| 19 Feel like walking to the beat of a different drum? Well you can have a conga line here. This vendor has all sorts of handmade drums and percussion instruments.
| 20 This was a popular spot to have your photo taken. Since I went solo, there was nobody for me to snap, or have my picture taken with.
|
21 Here's a shot of the museum from the outside. I really is a beautiful place.
| 22 Here's another shot of the entrance to the museum.
| 23 This is the Terrace Stage. It was small and generally suited to single performers or acoustic acts. It's within earshot of the Mountain stage, which often lead to the acts playing there, cutting their sets short when the music from the Mountain stage drowned them out.
| 24 The walkways were designed for a leisurely stroll and not to get from one place to the other expediently. That also made it a pain to see multiple acts at different stages.
