I would guess that this was from Dad's M1 Garand, but that's just a guess.

This is shorter, but looks like it would create wounds that are harder to recover from.

This is the same one wearing the sheath. I also found my Dad's Kabar, the signature knife of the Marine Corps, but it hadn't been stored well, so time took it's toll and it wasn't salvageable.
