1 Right after I walked in the gate, in an adjoining yard, I spied a Dodge Rampage for sale. I always liked these "mini El Caminos" so I was drawn to take a look. It needed alot of work but it'd make a great project vehicle.
| 2 The Rhinebeck show is big, but the Carlisle show is HUGE in comparison. There's literally, something for everyone. The first group I came upon were the "Big Rigs". I know very little about semis, so I skipped them over. For anyone who is into the heavy haulers, there were a ton of them there!
| 3 This is just a smallsample of what you can see at the show. There was a whole group of Military trucks, I neglected to photograph any of them. There was aplay area for the tykes, a "Women's Oasis" which I didn't even peek inside of for allthose who brought their "Significant Others" but weren't into the macho truck scene, they had a place to duck the sunshine and do what women do.
| 4 I wandered into the judging area for the trucks by mistake, but nobody told me to leave, so I shot a few pix of them as the guys with the notebooks and white gloves went over them.

| 6 Along with the basic classic Ford Flathead motor.
| 7 Some slick paint on this F-100 .
| 8 It's hard to overlook a candy Colored, Metallic Slime Green paintjob.
|
9 I tilted the camera to fill the field of vision, but now there's no way to turn it without the effect being disorienting, but this is the interior of the Slime Green truck.
| 10 I own a '94 S-10, so I went to the show looking for ideas to help me customize mine. For that reason, you'll see a lot of S-10 photos.
| 11 This is a snug interior.
| 12 I like the center console on this rig. The color scheme needs a little help.

13 There were tons of "Low Riders", "Tail Draggers", "Pavement Scrapers" or whatever you want to call these lowered hydraulic machines. I'm not a huge fan because they're not very practical. They seem to have a diminished turning radius, at least the ones cruising the fairgrounds did. It takes a lot of work to build one of these, and I give the owners credit for that, but when you look inside them, the first thig you see is a HUGE ugly box of switches sitting on the console, passenger seat, floor or anyplace else it can be dumped.
| 14 Another drawback of the lowered rides is: the bodywork seems to get destroyed too fast. Why dump a ton of effort into getting it smooth if your going to drag it across the pavement?
| 15 Now this is a lowered ride that looks the part.
| 16 It's easy to recognize the classic Mustang seats in this tub.

17 Check out the chop job on this early Chevy, it's seriously radical!
| 18 A group photo, smile for the camera!
| 19 I have no use for a four wheel drive vehicles, so I tend to breeze past them, but this was worth a photo.
| 20 A super clean classic Ford.

 21 It's in good company.
