CompassSkills_040806 (April 8, 2006)| Students were instructed in basic compass skills today. Mr. Jack Jeansonne, naturalist, artist, and educator, facilitated. Thanks to Mr. Aguilar, Mrs. Pasch, and Mr. Hager for their assistance. Afterwards, students spent 1 hour working on their individual projects. |

Falls030406 (03.04.06)26 students enjoyed a "working" trip to McKinney Falls. Thank you to Mr. Aguilar and Mrs. Pasch for assisting with this trip. Students focused on making observations via visual, auditory, and kinesthetic modes. Unlike previous visits, the weather was agreeable, and students had many opportunities to get off the trail and do some exploring and observing. Jeremy got off the trail a bit too much and landed in the river--see the pictures. After the trip, we assembled back at Fulmore in the computer lab, and students continued working on their Power Point presentations.

McKinney Roughs (February 11-12, 2006)On February 11-12, 37 sixth graders, two Fulmore teachers, and two parents visited McKinney Roughs for 2 days and one night of science-related educational programs. In this album (after the pictures) you can access many of the documents presented by the McKinney Roughs' staff as well as view pictures and videos of the students. The bone chilling temperature did not stop the students from learning and having fun. Special thanks to Mrs. Martinez and Mr. Aguilar for their assistance on this adventure.

GT Trip 012806 (January 28, 2006)| Students went on a 4 mile hike to collect data and make observations specific to their Learning Pods. Ms. Connor and Mr. Harris were assisted by Mr. Pasch, Mr. Aguilar, and Mr. Capshaw. The first half of the trip was rainy, but the second half of the trip the rain ceased. Students were instructed by the facilitators in interpreting the natural world and collecting data specific to their Learning Pods. |
