The closest to me in age, we played together, we fought together. I remember her protecting me from a bully at school once. A passion for writing, she spearheaded the probe into family geneaology and sparked my interest in the subject. Jan married William Walden "Tim" Sparkman. They had three children, Alan, Allison & Amy.
