First Filigree Pendant with Aqua Stone and Pearl
Always hungry to learn something new, I ordered in a new book from Amazon.com titled "Silver Threads" by Jeanne Rhodes-Moen. After studying it for about 4 days, ordering filigree from Riogrande and several failed attempts at soldering, it finally all came together! I have finished my very first piece of filigree work. The pendant is all Sterling Silver except for the Filigran which are pure Fine Silver. Length of the pendant is 2 3/8 inches including the pearl drop, but not including the bail. If the bail were included the length would measure 2 3/4 inches in length. Width at widest section is 1 1/4 inches. The book is excellent! Projects began simply and worked up to more complex. Each project I read through developed new skills to help move into the next project. I didn't make any of the tutorial projects cause I am a nut, and went far out on the limb with a simple design of my own that satisfied my need to feel like what I made was really and truly my creative process.

Turquoise and Lava Bohemian Necklace
I love the contrast of turquoise and black and this sleek fan of long stabilized pieces of Turquoise just screamed to be toyed with! Pitted polished beads of Lava are used as spacers as well as to complete the strand. Sterling Silver components are found in the clasp and extension chain with a Sterling Silver charm finish!
