enlarge 1.90MB, 1191x842 1 2014 Retroviseur (France) This one-off Mercedes-Benz 230 SL by Pininfarina will be making a return appearance to Pebble Beach for 2021. I will be reshooting this car in late April/early May 2021. This will be for a German publication so I will be updating the text with more information. Designer Tom Tjaarda has passed in 2017 since I produced the feature back in 2014.

But it used the 2014 photos rather than the 2021 set due to deadline issues. It appeared prior to the car's 2021 appearance at Pebble Beach in the special Pininfarina class.

What is noteworthy here is that Auto Bild Klassic is published by the Axel Springer publishing group. Axel Springer is a famous publisher in postwar West Germany and was the car's first owner.
