Father's Day on the Boat, '04 (June 23, 2004)| June 20, 2004 was just about perfect! It started with breakfast under sail at 8 am, followed with participation in the Shark race (trying to stay out of their way) a pleasant sunny afternoon, grilled buffalo burgers at the yacht clubhouse and an evening sail returning to our slip at 10 pm. The Garden, 2004 (June 22, 2004)| In the winter of 2003/04 I did a lot of reading about gardening. I decided to follow the recomendations of John Jeavons and double dig the soil creating raised beds designed for intensive planting. Our garden consists of 24 such beds and is now looking very beautiful. We started all of the plants from seeds on our front porch, transfering each seedling to the garden at the appropriate time. This album traces the growth of the garden and the abundance of the harvest |

Twins Six (January 20, 2004)| During December 03 and January 04 I spent some time with Curt, Alex and the twins in their newly purchased home in Bakersfield, California. We shared Christmas and New Years. During that time Curtis assured me that Bjur means Beaver in old Swedish. Thus the sandbox/fort we built for the Bjurlin boys during my visit was dubbed the "Beaver Lodge" |

Twins Seven (August 6, 2004)| During August of 2004 Tina and Marv traveled to Maine to spend a few days with Teddy, Ziggy and Alex. We picked them up at the Wells household in Rockland and then continued up to Deer Isle where we lived in the Egemuggin Landing Motel. We traveled all around Deer Isle and played on the beach, in the woods and in restaurants! A good time was had by all. |
