1 American Tobacco Trail, a Rails to Trails Project
| 2 Corner of MLK and Fayetteville Rd, approx 4 miles from my start point
3 Biked past this marker but not all the way to 4.0 miles. Then back.
| 4 Nice stretch through a stand of mostly pines.
5 This barn was just off the trail. Looked very old.
| 6 Another nice flat stretch of trail.
7 Each of the city roads to be crossed are well-marked.
| 8 This portion is a long slow incline for a mile.
 9 Same stretch of uphill.
| 10 Heading back toward the city.
11 Nice big hardwoods will begin to leaf out in a couple of months.
| 12 Not sure what the cones had been for.
 13 Stand of young hardwoods.
| 14 More of the trail.
15 This cyclist had his child in tow.
| 16 Another majestic tree, with a built-in animal hideaway.
17 Me n' my shadow, take while in motion.
| 18 Another pic of me in motion.
19 Looking down from a bridge to another bridge over a 'crick.'
| 20 Bikers ahead.
21 One of the several bridges to cross on this portion of the ATT.
| 22 I like trees, can you tell?
23 One of the bridges to cycle over. Either a city road or a stream is underneath.
| 24 Coming back to the head of the trail, the big building peek out around the curve.
 25 Closer--taking pix while riding.
| 26 The Durham Freeway cuts across, and that's where the end of this portion of the ATT is.
27 One more pic. One very tall slim light for the ball park can be seen standing tall, middle slightly right.
| 28 Over the last bridge. "Lucky Strike" water tower (white) and the newly renovated American Tobacco Complex (red brick).
29 Renovated American Tobacco Complex (shops, stores, restaurants) in the distance. Across from the Durham Bulls Ballpark.
| 30 Baseball played here in a few weeks.
31 Self-portrait taken in my car's window. See? I did it!
| 32 Bike and car, ready to go home now.
