Seegmiller's Ebony
Ebony is the culmination of many years of work. Preservation begins with quality and this girl truly is high quality. She represents at least 30 years of what I have done here for the Rat Terrier as a breed whole. I can still think back to the dogs I began with, they were not the best. Many doubted my resolve and the potential I saw in the hidden genetics behind what I originally had. Always look to the past to preserve a breed.
A wise breeder once told me when I was very young that a true breeder never gives up, never quits, never accepts mediocrity. I have followed those values to the letter. My breed standard is my bible and I have done all I can as a breeder to perpetuate quality.
Ebony has a beautiful black coat, slick fur and a sharp erect ear set. She is compact and at 15 inches represents the balance of never overdone, never tiny and frail or toyish. Her 25 pounds is perfectly balanced weight to size and muscle.
