116 Carved shell? bursting star design on a Victorian dress elevator.
Dress elevators, often confused with arm chair cover push-pins, ususally have the blunt tips so as not to stab the wearer. They were used to lift/elevate the skirt hem to keep them from brushing against the dirty sidewalk and for creating a flounce/ruffle effect on the outer skirts. Dress elevators were ususally made of finer materials than the common arm chair cover push-pins.
Measures approximately, 3/16". Not sure of the metal material, but is might be the old rolled gold.

128 Those Victorian's sure loved their fru-fru and this Victorian Jewel - Gay 90's button has the works.
Tiered, ornate design, flowing with stamped ivy leaves, raised brass flowers, gorgeous facetted amethyst rectangle stone (there is a 1/4" nick off the end of one side of the stone, as seen in the photo).It wouldn't do for this wonder to have a plain round stone. Oh, no, they had to raise it up a notch and apply a scarce, rectangle shaped stone set in brass. It doesn't end there, since it's hard to see, but there are also delicate, pierced florals on the lower level, embracing the stone's base.
Long brass shank complete this large, 1.5" ,3-D Victorian jewel.
