Theerta Ghosti (June 30 - July 8, 2004)| Theerta Ghosti was held at Sriman Vishnugaru's residence every morning. Devotees would sit together and start reciting shlokas and strotrams from 8:30 am to 9:45 am. At around 9:45 am Swamiji would call us all inside for taking the theertam. At this time Swamiji would have finished performing puja to the Lord. This is a very pious occasion every morning as Swamiji gives theertam, the holy water, to the devotees by "his own hands." After the theertam there would be prasadham served and by 10:30 am Swamiji would begin to proceed for the Pada Puja. |

Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva Yagna (July 2, 2004)Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva is the supreme lord with the Horse's face and is the presiding deity for knowledge. When two demons stole the Vedas from Brahma, while he was yawning, Lord Brahma sought the help of Srimannarayana. The lord took the form of the horse-faced Hayagriva, destroyed the demons and restored the Vedas to Brahma. Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji performed the Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva Yagna at Sunnyvale temple to bestow the grace of Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva and make us more proficient in any field of knowledge.

Livermore Temple (July 4, 2004)Swamiji visited the Livermore temple and gave an hour long talk on lord Sri Venkateswara. In this process also HH explained to everyone the destructions going on in Tirumala and how we as devotees to the lord can help save the history. HH explained very clearly what Venkata means - the word is formed by 2 syllables 'Ven' - evil and 'kata' - one who burns. Hence Venkata is one who burns aways all the evil.
