Varapooja is comprised of 2 words - Vara and Pooja. Vara means the bridegroom and this occasion is the time when the bride's side welcomes the groom and the groom's parents and relatives. It id during this function that both sides exchange the invitations and also exchange the dresses they picked for groom and bride. At the end we go to the temple to seek belssings of God and end the day for the marriage on the next day.
