Scandinavia: Capitals to the Fjords, a GoAhead Tour. Traveling by plane, train, bus, and ferry, we saw the highlights of Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki. We ate Danish pastries, herring, salmon, and reindeer; we sampled the local beers, vodka at the Ice Bar, and AquaVit. We used 4 different currencies: DKK, NOK, SEK, and the Euro in Finland. Puzzled by the languages, I was grateful that everyone speaks English fluently.

Wow! Beautiful scenery and vibrant colors. What is a Laderal cat? Looks much like an American cat!!! What was the parade about....a protest? Evidently the ancients did not have clothing...so many bare naked statues (which was the name of Andy's a capella group..."BNS.") I assume the picture of the President and 1st Lady was when they were there for the Nobel Peace Prize, though I do not remember just where it was presented. Am also assuming you did not see them in person. ??An Ice Bar? Brrrr. In the Cathederals the statues, for the most part, at least wore clothing !! You ate reindeer???? Oh, yuk. Did you really drink all those different beers? Bet Jim would have liked to have been with you!! - Marilynn Cunningham, Sun, 19 Jun 2011 7:44PM
