A special landmark celebration 40 years of gathering to protest, to declare, to been seen. Special guests on the main stage were 10 members of the original 70 who were greeted with cheers for what they had done for us all.

This year’s Illuminated Nighttime Providence Pride Parade was led by the Grand Marshals, “The ‘76ers” some of the original 70 people that marched 40 years ago in the very first Pride gathering in Rhode Island.
