My completed dual sport project.  I bought the Electrex Dakar Oregon kit and installed it myself.  It looks pretty sharp!

This shows the headlight assembly.  I like the integrated turn signals on this kit.  We do some trail riding, and I feared that turn signals that stick out would be broken easily.

The switches are very easy to locate with your thumb.  I can find them all without looking... even with gloves.  The high-beam indicator light is a nice color-coordinated blue!

The dotted lines show where the Dakar tail light assembly would be.  I cut it to fit around the existing tail light.  I removed the entire wiring assembly from the existing tail light.

Another view under the rear fender.  This shows where I cut the Dakar tail light assembly to fit, and bolted it on.  You can also see the hole where I removed the stock tail light wiring harness.

The kit has a nice all-around clean look.  I figured if I was going to get a kit, I wanted one that would look good on the bike, and be made specifically for my bike (not some generic kit that I would have to figure out how to hook it up).
Although I ran into a few problems, there wasn't anything too difficult to figure out.  I DID have a couple of problems getting the right parts from the company, but they resolved it right away.

The new mirrors have a higher profile so I can actually see what's behind me.  They fold down behind the number plate... protected for tighter trail riding.  They also remove easily.

The new Scott's bar clamp... with a little customization.  ;)  The GPS now actually fits on my bars!

The overall view of the cockpit.  Nice and clean and uncluttered.

I replaced the standard bar clamp mount for the hand guards with this trick one that clamps to the top of the fork tube.  It really opened up space on the bars for clamping on my GPS.

Look at all that free handlebar space!  I have room now for a roll chart if need be.

They cannot do the thick graphics for tanks (don't know why not), but these are well perforated to let the gas fumes out, and seem to be quite thick.

These are the Ken Sean style mirrors screw right into the stock perches.  If you hit something, they fold right out of the way.  NICE!  I can also SEE out of them.
