Many thanks to the Honor Guard members from Post 177, 17th District and the Post 177 and Post 162 ALR. We would also like to thank the Department Vice Commander John Kokernak, the District Commander Sam Ramseur, the District Vice Commander Cordell Creditt and Past District Commanders Ray Lockett, Warden Foley and Phil Dunn for their attendance. To the many officers and members of Post 177 who attended, thank you. This is what we do and what we are all about. May he rest in peace.

Then, friends in attendance came forward and related their memories of Bob Parli. Post 177 Member Jerry Whipple and 2nd Vice Jeff White also included their personal memories. A prayer from Chaplain Joe Boyle and Bob Sussan reading a poem entitled " A Letter from Heaven". After the flag folding ceremony and presentation to the family, the poem Flanders Field was read and poppies presented to the family. All Legionnaires present then marched to the casket, executed a hand salute and said their fairwells.
