| This is the village where Maharaji gets his current popular name "Nib Karori Baba" (also spelled "Neeb Karori Baba") & the prounciation variant "Neem Karoli Baba" (which is more popular in the West). It was on these railroad tracks where he stopped the train & had a station built, which was called at the time "Laksman Das Puri", for the village which had none. Babaji's name at the time was "Laksman das" it was only after he left this village, where he stayed underground in a cave for many years, did he become known by His current name. |
