The good news here is that both are back with a new blue configuration, called "Blue Lagoon," and indeed they bear striking resemblances to the neon Curacao-laden cocktail of replica Bvlgari the same name. There's also a gold-tone version with matching champagne dial ($825). I had the three best ones in for review: ice blue, mother of pearl, and "gold." Each dial is stamped with a waffle-style pattern. The lume signature is relatively low but functional, with SuperLumiNova on the hands and applied indices.

The dial and case are both solid 18k white gold, but the former has a generous treatment of Grand Feu enamel. The translucent and grisaille enamels create an enchanting twilight scene with ethereal clouds seeming to float above the surface. What more is there to say – just look at this watch. It's almost so impressive that you forget there's a serious tourbillon beating at six o'clock.One method was to make a test balance which beats at the correct frequency, which you use to check the performance of the balance spring and balance combination of a production watch. Once the approximately correct frequency was obtained, the final adjustment of frequency and rate was via the balance spring fine regulator, and adjustment of timing weights on the balance rim.
The watch is made of 18k rose gold (also available in 18k white gold) and measures 41mm in diameter, which is pretty hefty for a "ladies' watch" but I'm not complaining (seeing as I tend to complain about women's watches being too small). The case is well-constructed, though part of me wishes that the lugs were a little longer and the case a little less wide, but hey what can you do? The bezel is set with 54 white diamonds, because what is a "ladies' watch" without a little bling?Most tool watches make use of a healthy dose of lume. It then famously was the first watch worn by an astronaut walking on the moon on July 20, 1969, during the Apollo 11 mission.
