A sick palm needed to be cut for safety reasons. The owner decided to leave part of the stump and commissioned chainsaw carver Rob Wagner to transform the stump into the shape of the two chimneys that grace the mansion.
I shot the transformation as it progressed over two days. After the first four images they are in chronological order.
