September 30 to October 1, 2002 a rare moment in Naval History occurs as four carriers are in port at Naval Air Station North Island, CA. these are taken by me on a morning photo excursion, on October 1/2002, to downtown San Diego, except for picture 1 and 2. I wanted to capture the 4 Carriers in port and check on the state of the new ball park construction, I also found a few other subjects to photograph.

The Carl Vinson was departing @ 10AM and the Top is normally closed until 3PM, courteous management granted me access.
