I lived in this house with my stepfather Tom White who built it and my Mother during the mid 1950's.It was a crying shame to see it burnt to a cinder. I have many happy memories building the swimming out back, my cat Mushy, and still the best view overlooking the Pacific Ocean.I remember Merv Land and Louis Casey.but we were more Alan Watts than Jimi Hendrix and more Robbie Burns than LSD and we were there first which is my main point. To be at the inception of something is infinitely preferable to everything that comes later.Bobby and Floppy Hyde were true Utopians. - jay benedict, Fri, 17 Apr 2009 7:08AM | ||

226 E. Mountain Drive. In the rapidly appreciating East Mountain Drive area between Cold Spring and Coyote, the views sweep from Pt. Mugu (maybe even Malibu/Santa Monica) to the Gaviota Coast. This Montecito residence is a unique rustic contemporary with high, high ceiling in the great room, 10' wide fireplace, entertainment grotto with swiveling plasma TV, new electrical, plumbing, central heating (plus many more improvements), island and ocean view spa (on its own deck), etc. The home is offered completely furnished. Come see where Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janice Jopin and other icons hung out.......
