I have a 57mm complete shell. Dad was with the 5th Armored Div - the 1st unit crossing into Germany. Both the UK & US guns could fire this '6-lb'er'. Any interest in it?

have only just seen your restoration.excelent job. I am about to start construction of four airborne 6pdr's with the broken leg trail and was wondering if you had any parts for sale that may help. At the moment I have four sights, two original rims and six rims that could be converted but no tyres, anything else would be a great help.

Regards louis

Can anyone tell me exactly how a 6-pounder was fired? I'm writing a book on WWII in North Africa. My uncle was a gunner. Would be most grateful.

Great project - fantastic photos. Tis a beautiful Mk 4. My brother-in-law (Pvt. Robert Hilton) was in the 2nd Platoon, B Battery, 81st Abn AA Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. Bateries A,B, and C were anti-tank. Bob died outside of Bastogne on Jan. 4, 1945. I'm writing his biography of Bob for the family, and I've been searching for good photos of the airborne version of the 6-pounder - the Mk 3.  May I use two of your photos in his biography? Specifically the open sights and the scope sight pictures?

Hi Gary
The restoration looks fantastic - Well done,
I have just acquired a 57MM here in the UK - Will be using for Living History as part of our British Infantry impression.
I am desperately trying to find a pair of British wheels and tyres plus a muzzle brake - Can you help at all? Happy to pay a fair price - Please let me know. All the best - Rob

I just got a junky 57mm to restore, and need to know if you have any left over parts, or a line on them.

Thanks

That's a nice setup. Is the 15 cwt CMP an original anti-tank tractor? I'm trying to find details of the fittings in the box of the ATT. Could you email me pix of the interior of the box? Thanks
