We did the Inside Passage: a loop  cruise from Seattle to the Panhandle & back.

Went a day early so we would be rested for the cruise.  Stayed @ Airport Hilton where we were met by Holland America person with all necessary info.  Also met @ airport by HAL rep.

Wow!  I do wish we could do it.  We've taken two Bahamian cruises and loved them both.  Going north would be a totally different adventure.
