1990 Ken Smith B.T. Custom G Special Bass 4-String - w/ Bag!
This is a Smith B.T. Custom G Special Model 4-String bass from 1990 manufactured by the Ken Smith Basses, LTD. The Custom G Model was at the top of the Smith bass line in the 90s.
Mr. Smith confirmed with us: The body is bookmatched exotic Stump wood Koa top and Flame Koa back.
This Smith bass is in good condition and has seen lots of love over the years. There have been absolutely no repairs or modifications made. The body has a decent amount of finish wear at the typical points of contact as well as some small scratches and dings throughout. It's clear this bass was is a real player from the finish wear and minor dings on the neck (pictured). The ebony fingerboard is extremely healthy and there’s very little fret wear; the truss rod works well. All electronics are very clean and function well. The finish on the gold tuners have worn as well.
This is a beautifully crafted bass at an exceptional price. It's wonderfully resonate and has a fabulous sound, a real delight to play.
