The TR505 is packed in the original Styrofoam box ( not the outer box, though . Sorry) with all original manuals. Perfect for the Hip Hop DJ, Digital Music Composer, or a Band in need of a Drummer. It can operate with batteries or an external AC Power adapter (not included). Roland TR-505 is a fully programmable rhythm composer. It is extremely flexible when it comes to putting together a drum sequence quickly. It has the classic Roland drum sounds which are becoming more sought after due to their authentic retro sound. It is powered by either a 9v dc adaptor (not included), or six AA batteries (not included), making it totally portable. It has a clear LCD display which is easy to understand. The XLR MIDI IN/OUT ports allow it to be connected up to any other MIDI devices, but it really comes into it's own when driven as a slave device by a midi controller or sequencer. Other features include R & L outputs, a headphone socket, and a port for recording MIDI digital drum machine, programmable in both step-mode or real-time using playable keypads on top of a unit. LCD display with drum grid makes programming and composing patterns and songs a snap. Unit is intuitive and easy to use right out of the box. MIDI In and MIDI Out jacks on back for connection to other MIDI devices. Unit features 16 digitally-sampled percussion sounds accessed by playable keypads on top of unit. Sounds include: snare, bass drum, Hi Tom, Mid Tom, Lo Tom, Ride and Crash Cymbals, Open and Closed Hi Hat, Hi and Lo Congas, Timbale, Rim Shot and more! LCD display facilitates programming and storing patterns and songs. You can compose drum patterns, chain them together into songs, and save them to memory for future playback.
